Our hot water went out a couple days ago, so they family had to heat up water on the stove and pour it into a bucket for everyone to shower. Very interesting! Huh? Not to mention the shower is 2ft x 2ft. So shaving your legs is impossible and the shower head points straight down. It´s not that bad once you get used to it.
Also, I feel kind of free here. I am not checking my cell phone every 2 seconds, I only check my email once a day if that, I don~t dry my hair, I only put on eye makeup really quick. It is just totally different from the US. I would never walk out of my house without my hair dried and straightened in the US or leave the house without my cell phone.
I went and saw Sex and the City last night. It was good. I cried a lot because it was one of the sad happy movies. This is for you mom --> I HATED JENNIFER HUDSON IN IT AND I AM SO MAD SHE RUINED MY MOVIE! I just cannot stand that girl, maybe it´s her ghetto accent.
Oh and to make a single girl feel worse -- Today is Valentine´s day in Brasil! I have to go through another vday! And unfornately both of them i´m alone. It´s like the world just wanted to remind me again that I am single! Where are you Dori with my fondue and my LOST!? I woke up this morning and looked out my window to the other apartments and i saw a huge boquet of flowers on this person´s desk. UGH!
Mom - I tried to call yoiu the other day but you didn~t answer your cell phone or the house phone.
Talk to yall later! Love you!

WHAT?! Another Valentine's Day?! Absurd! I know that Brazil is in a different hemisphere and so everything is flip floped and it's winter and all, but cut a girl a break! We'll do fondu and a make up viewing of the finale of LOST when you come home! I totally agree with the free vibe- you get to be a different person when you travel! ENJOY IT!
It sounds like you enjoyed the movie even though she was in it. Did she sing? I bet she was good!! I know what you mean about the free feeling, when you travel you do feel different about things like that. It is nice. Talk to you soon. Love Mom and Dad
Hey!! The shower thing is nothing...in the Philippines at my grandparents house all they have is a huge trash can (you know the kind we put kegs in) with water and a pail AND it's cold!
Maggie and I saw Sex and the City the other night and we both cried the whole time because it was a sad happy movie. We haven't seen them in a while since the show ended. It was like a reunion. :) By the way we saw it twice in a row and I agree Jennifer Hudson ruined the movie. She is not a good actress!
